Bull City Summer Streets 2010

I was contracted to design the logo and promotional materials for Bull City Summer Streets; an event taking place this Sunday, May 23rd 2pm - 6pm in the Central Park District of downtown Durham. The streets will be car-free and open to all forms of clean transportation (biking, skating, walking, etc.) along with various workshops and yoga classes. BCSS is sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Sheild, Triangle Transit, GoTriangle, and Clean Energy Durham.

Screen Printing Demo for Kids

I was involved in a screen printing demo through Bodybillboards Inc. for kids from Sterling Montessori School hailing from Morrisville, NC. They were taken through every step of apparel printing and even received custom t-shirts. The event helped to educate these youngsters on an art form that often finds a home in a supply and demand commercial market. I think they were mostly interested in the free t-shirts.

The Beast - Silence Fiction

Another collaboration between The Beast and I on their first full length album 'Silence Fiction'. I painted the album cover on canvas along with other album art and worked with Brenden Ward, from Flywheel Design, on layout and type. Can't wait to see what she looks like fresh off the press! There will be an album release party on Oct. 16 with Durham's own The Beast and Raleigh's Kooley High performing at Golden Belt in Durham. I will be showcasing some of my newest work at the event as well. Exciting stuff.

Candy Lettering

Rapper Big Pooh (from Little Brother) just dropped his newest solo album "Rapper's Delight". Kompleks Creative contracted me to design and draw the lettering for the album cover. The style of the lettering is inspired by the Sugar Hill Gang's classic.

Pierce Freelon, emcee of The Beast, commissioned this promotional piece for his band. Love working with these guys. There will be much more collaboration between The Beast and I as their 2nd and 3rd EPs drop this coming year.
